Principal's Message

Welcome to Kilgore Middle School! We are excited your child(ren) will be attending our school this year. We feel blessed to be surrounded by dedicated staff, the best students, and wonderful parents.

Please take a few minutes to look around our website. We invite you to be partners with us in the education of your child(ren). We also encourage you be an active participant in our school. As a team, we can accomplish anything. We believe that students in the middle always comes first!

We have a talented administrative team in place this year, and we are excited about serving you and your child(ren). Feel free to contact us with your praises and concerns.

I have been employed by KISD for 26 years.  I have served as a principal for 10 years at Chandler Elementary before becoming the Principal at Kilgore Middle School in 2023. 

I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's in Reading from the University of Texas at Tyler. I also have a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Doctorate in Leadership from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas. I also have certifications in English as a Second Language, Reading Specialist, Master Reading Teacher, Principal, and Superintendent. I received a doctorate in Educational Leadership in 2012.

I have been married to Bob Lindley for 43 years, and we are members of St. Luke’s Methodist Church. We have two children. Our son, Curtis, is a KHS graduate and is now a retired Head Chef in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is married to Tara, a Chemist. Our daughter, Becci, is also a KHS graduate and serves as the Special Education Director at KISD. She is married to Bryan Thurston, a Highway Patrolman. We have three wonderful grandsons. Les, the oldest grandson, is now in eighth grade at Kilgore Middle School, Robbie is a fifth grader at Kilgore Intermediate School, and Samuel is a third grader at Chandler Elementary. We also have two granddaughters. Lindley Katherine is a first grader at Kilgore Primary, and Riesling Rye Arete Lindley is one and lives in Utah. 

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, going to the movies, decorating for holidays, baking cupcakes/novelty cakes, and crumble cookies! One of my favorite activities is spending time with staff and students.

I hope that you and your student enjoy our school. Our goal is to empower all students and provide a quality education in a caring and loving environment. We hope that each student chooses to make every day a GREAT day!
